Jade Diamond Matte Illusion Imperial Jade

Are you also having a color in your nail polish collection that you love to pieces but somehow wear it way to seldom? For me it is green - I love all greens and assemble them like a squirrel its nuts for winter and like the squirrel I store and hide my greens for… well exactly yes, for when??? I am so glad that Priscilla added a stunner of green into the box that made me wear it instantly. Imperial Jade is in my books a perfect green, maybe a touch blue leaning but no yellow left or right just a vibrant bright green jelly filled with turquoise micro glitter the below pictures are without Top Coat, isn't that simply amazing???

I applied two coats of Jade Diamond Matte Illusion Imperial Jade over my regular Base Coat. The formula is a dream two work with, so perfect in its consistency, easily applied to the nail, leaving an even and smooth surface. Dry time is, as with all Jades I have tried so far, on the longer side but not too bad - however, they remain prone to denting for quite some time after painting so it is totally worth taking your time and let it dry. Painting nails doesn't always need to be a hopp-hopp action between slapping on lipstick and leaving the house, no?

Again, I show you some more pictures, the first with KBShimmer Clearly on Top for a glossy finish and the last picture shows one nail mattified.

Final thoughts: You know what I will wear this with next time? With a dusty pink dress - I just love this color combination and it adds some edginess to the sweetness of pink.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  1. This green is gorgeous, Christine! I love intense greens like this. I know what you mean about having colors you love that you don't wear much. I do my nails about once a week, and I'm acquiring polish at a much faster rate than that, so you can imagine lol. I need more hands! Sometimes I contemplate doing a different polish on each finger just to get to wear all my beautiful colors. :)

    1. Hahahaha - the obstacles of a serious nailpolish addict, I know it too well. I paint my nails about three times a week and still sit on that huge pile of untrieds, because there is always the one or the other polish I am hooked to and wear it more often than others. Thank you - that green is so special because I seem to rarely come across one that is such a straightforward kind of green xxx

    1. Thank you Ananka - funds and shipping fees - the eternal burden for us NPAs!!! Luckily ther are so many less costly gems a available these days, no? Do you have Essence near you? They released some gorgeous greens for summer and should come with a bearable price tag
