Anybody missed me? Well, I am considerate and save you from the need to reply ;-)! At least my absence is not due to any crisis - it is just that my social life accelerated over the last couple of weeks (oh my, I will not survive this summer at this pace) and there wasn't the time of the day to type up posts. I did have the time to play with nailpolish though and have dutifully practiced my stamping skills.
For those of my readers following me on Instagram: yes guys, you are right, you saw this there already as I did this mani for the #supergorgeousblog challenge of June.
I really don't know what alien force took power over me when I decided to order KBShimmer Chick Me Out - don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with this polish, I just don't wear yellow in any form, so why would I need not just A bottle but ANOTHER bottle of yellow nailpolish? I fear that can only be explained by having suffered from an unexpected attack of NPAS (Nail Polish Addict Syndrome). Anhoo here it is and since I am NOT going to wear it as mani again (you have no idea the amount of jokes I had to endure) KBShimmer Chick Me Out is the perfect canvas for some summery stamping.
I applied three coats of KBShimmer Chick Me Out over my regular Base Coat. Well, I hear you, I think I am the only Blogger out there who went for three coats but how you get away with two coats is a mystery to me. My ridged nails (Ridge Filling Base Coat doesn't flatten the surface to that extent) just wouldn't let me get away with two coats of ANY yellow polish. That being said, the formula of Chick Me Out is the best I have come across in a yellow so far. Which is not saying too much as I own three bottles of yellow nailpolish, not fit for a judgement, eh?
And this is the stamping image I used - MoYou Pro Collection XL 14
I ordered KBShimmer Chick Me Out with Harlow & Co, MoYou Pro Collection XL 14 can be purchased with MoYou site or with Pshiiit Boutique.
I look forward to reading your thoughts - thanks for visiting!!!

Ahh away having fun?? Hehe. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice yellow and I like the stamping! Very pretty flowers and nice colours combo :-)
I've tried a few yellows and so far found the best to be Chanel's Mimosa! Though you would expect it to be good at that price ;-)
Thank you Ananka <3! I wonder if I can source Mimosa, I guess it has vanished from the racks long, long ago. And oh yes, lots of fun AND gorgeous sunmer weather, this simply calls for being out and about ;-)
DeleteI think it's a lovely yellow on you... why the jokes? Perfect choice of stamping, too; I'm reminded of buttercups. And again, I'm in total agreement-- how are two coats of a yellow creme EVER managed?! lol. I recently, and finally, wore Zoya Darcy, which looks to be similar, at least it wears on me similar to how this one wears on you. I liked it and intend to wear it again this summer. They're so difficult and so they're kind of unexpected, I think, edgy in a strange sort of way.... And is it just me, or does it seem to take longer and longer to crank out a post, the farther into this thing we get?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the break is due to good things and not crises :) :) It seems quite a few of us are in a similar mode of pulling back a bit, for one reason or another.
Thank you sis!!! I am so with you (no surprise, eh?) that yellow has such an unexpected edginess to it. As for the jokes: I am not living in a fashion forward country and my exitement about nailpolish is a unique thing in my surroundings. So of course jokes fly left and right if I do yellow - LOL!!! Yes, I observed the slower pace too and well I think it is important to let that blogging stuff flow naturally, sometime more sometime less. We have such a gorgeous summer so far, it would be a pity to spend it perchef in front of my Mac editing pictures ;-P. I so see Darcy on you, perfect summer choice <3
DeleteOoh! I absolutely love this stamping!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Ina <3
DeleteI love your yellow nails! You're right is unusual to see you wearing this colour, but I don't get why the jokes? whatever, I have yet to come accross a yellow creme nail polish that looks as smooth as the one you're sporting! And your stamping, OMGoodeness it is flawless! I definitely have to try stamping white over yellow.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're having fun, we're lucky on the weather side this summer so enjoy it!
bisous ma biche, xxx
Thank you my dear Nati <3!! Jokes - well they fly because in my surrounding you would drive a yellow car, ride a yellow bike but yellow nails categorize as alien - and we are known for notoriously teasing each other ;-)!! I only find praise for KBShimmer - there polishes are superb. If I would not be so jittery I would have done stripes - white and yellow stripes is one of my favorite patterns. Have a wonderful day ma belle - bisous xxx
