Picture Polish Geode

We are still having a day off here in Switzerland - it is called Easter Monday and is not a religious Holiday but like a Sunday after a Holiday-  does this make any sense? No? To me neither, but who wants to challenge an official day off???

I don't know about you, but by now I am super exited to hopefully soon receive the new Picture Polish releases - I just had to have those new creams…. In anticipation of them I feel once more so drawn to my PP stash - today I have Geode for you. A lovely pastel sky blue filled with navy blue, turquoise and silver glitter, overall sprinkled with finest golden particles. Geode was created in collaboration with Every Sensory and released last year.

I applied two coats of Picture Polish Geode over Seche Ridge Filling Base Coat. The first coat went on sheer (but then I did a really thin coat). I was mentally prepared to go for three coats but was totally stunned to find my nails opaque after applying a second medium thick coat. And even and smooth and high shine at that!. Leave it to Picture Polish to manufacture a color based glitter that allows glitter to be visible through all layers and dry to a smooth surface at the same time. Funny enough about just every glitter in my bottle sits at its back. But again - the formula and consistency allowed a wonderfully even spread of glitters after having placed the bottle upside down about 15 minutes prior to painting. I did not use a glitter peel off Base Coat and given the small glitters and the relatively low quantity, removal wasn't too bad.

Final thoughts: I love the simple yet intricate concept of Geode. As of late, I really seem to be drawn to those pastel glitters….

I ordered Picture Polish Geode with Pshiiit Boutiqe.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!
Christine

  1. Pastel glitters?? Who are you, and what have you done with the Viscountess of Vamp?? :D I can see why you like this though...I'm rather a sucker for those milky bases myself. This idea is clever...the shimmer does make it look like a geode. And I love a glitter polish that offers visible glitter with every layer. <3

    1. Hahaha - this is my typical spring mood, already last year I was drawn like mad to those soft colors around this time of the year. I have to add a vampy week though again soon ;-). I still like the Picture Polish pale glitters best - they mastered the task of creating polish that does NOT end up lumpy because the polish sinks in around the glitters, still the base is sheer enough to have those glitters peaking through - <3

    1. and from what I have seen weather was gorgeous with you (as opposed to us), I am happy you had such a good time - oh and the glitter, we were nearly teamed with those soft blues we both showed yesterday, no?
