Easter Skittelette

Looking at my list of popular posts I see that my Skittelettes seem to be quite often viewed. I took the hint and went into some mani-meditation-mode to come up with an Easter appropriate Skittelette and went for some inspiration with Blogs like My Nail Polish Online and Will Paint Nails For Food. Well, I actually woke with a start this morning, knowing what I am gonna do. Please, have mercy with me, it is my first hesitant step into nail art beyond studs and dots and the random taping.

and a picture in the sun to show-off Cirque Cerrillos ;-)

I started with two coats of Opi Buff is my Vampire on all nails except my pinkie. The pinkie is painted with two coats of Cirque Cerrillos from their latest Heritage Collection. I clumsily painted some stripes on my ring and middle finger using Elevation Polish Cuernos del Paine and Picture Polish Peaches n'Cream. I have to admit, it looked not half as clumsy IRL :-S. On my pointer I did some brushstrokes with said colors using a cream eyeshadow brush. The bling is graciously provided by KBShimmer Pastel Me More. The matte finish is due to Mentality Nail Polish Matte Top Coat.

I hardly dare to ask - how do you like it? I know come time, comes practice and so on….

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

    1. Thank you so very much for your nice comment, I have to admit my index was my favorite looking nail from the set - aside from that Cirque of course - I truly hope my skills will improve to be able to paint finer and better controlled lines soon ;-)

    1. Oh I am blushing - thank you Gelic!!! And this from someone who can paint cracked eggs so expertedly!!!!! ;-). I like the index best too - I think the glitter covers any clumsiness I did with the painting very well. And guess what - I ordered my first proper nailart brushes - I am sure this and practice will help morphing from infant level to kindergarten - or so I hope ;-) xxx
