I applied three coats of Tail Feather over my regular Base Coat. Kayla states in her introduction of Tail Feather that the formula ended up a tad thicklish due to the loads of shimmer packed into the magic sauce. But let me tell you - it is NOT too thick AT ALL. For sure, it is not a cream or a jelly but no way close to some of the gloppiness I experienced with Picture Polish Whimsy. The first coat went on sheer though even if applied with a light hand (this should be your mantra when painting Tail Feather onto your nails). Oh and you just SHOULD resist that urge to overachieve. Paint and let it lie. Be assured that the second and third coat cover any possible bald patches perfectly. But then I hadn't any of them if I did not go over the same area twice. Dry time is normal - it does take a smidgen longer because of the so to say creamy surplus consistency. I finished the mani with my current go-to Top Coat Glitter Gal Gloss Boss.
Final thoughts: Kayla, I cannot thank you enough for having created this beauty, I cannot tell you how long I have been wishing for exactly such a shade of jade-green (to me it is just the incarnation of that jade green, despite your inspiration by peacock feathers). And no, I absolutely cannot stop staring at my nails - LOL!!!
I ordered Picture Polish Tail Feather with Pshiiit Boutique.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!
