Butter London Indigo Punk

This is the last though certainly not the least of my new polishes - Butter London Indigo Punk from their Bespoke Colors Cosmetics Collection. Indigo Punk is a clear base filled with purple micro glitter (similar to Henley Reghatta).

the above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photos outdoors in the shade

in artificial light:

I applied two coats of Butter London Indigo Punk over one Coat of Cult Nails Nevermore (a highly pigmented black cream). The formula of Indigo Punkt is fabulous to work with - even spread of those pretty tiny winy glitters on the nails and dry time was molto rapido!!! While the surface dries smooth it looks dull as to be expected with those kind of glitters. I have tried to go with regular Top Coat only but even after applying the third coat the mani started to look slightly dull and uneven again. I therefore highly recommend to apply Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food or a similar glitter smoothing product before going for the Top Coat. While doing this mani went very quick beware of the time you need for removal - no matter if you work with elbow grease or use the foil method, it needs time.

I did try to wear Indigo Punk on its own but frankly I didn't like that I had to apply three coats to achieve decent opacity (but this worked only because my nails are on the short side, you would still have VNL at longer nails). And I have to tell you at three coats this mani starts to get thick :-S. So for me it clearly is a polish that I would preferably layer over black or a very dark blue or purple.

Final thoughts: Indigo Punk is everything I was hoping for - a truly indigo glitter that gives the mani so much sparkle and twinkle.

I ordered Butter London Indigo Punk with Pshiiit Boutique.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

  2. LOL Essie... :) This is so pretty, and I wondered if I needed to pick this one up in the BL sale going on...? You got that shine looking fantastic!

  3. Gorgeous! And like Essie, I've never heard of it before either. If BL polishes were just a little less expensive (and the Pshiiit shipping to Switzerland isn't the cheapest either...)

  4. I think it's beautiful on you but somehow I'm not wow'ed by it, don't know why though.

  5. Okay, I knew you'd choose a blue but I don't remember if I thought this or Inky Six. At any rate, excellent choice, this looks quite fetching on you! I'm drooling over your last photo and I know it's that much more twinkly in real life.
