What I had on my nails a year ago: A England Avalon

Lately I went a bit bonkers with ordering new polishes, but then there were all those gorgeous new polishes popping up left and right - what can a hopelessly addicted nailpolish do except picking up some of them as they come along? But I just don't want to neglect completely the beauties I have in my stash and went back into my archives to see what adorned my nails a year ago - look what I came up with:



the above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photos outdoors, the first in a "soft" sun, the second in the shade



I applied two coats of A England Avalon over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The application is what we all came to expect from A England: flawless, brushstroke free in short a pleasure to paint the nails. However the formula of Avalon is thin and dry time slow!!!

I re-applied and photographed my mani from a year ago - back then I stopped blogging and just kept a list of what I had on my nails, how many coats and some notes about the formula. All there is left is the below picture I posted on Instagram:

    What a gorgeous shade Christine! how cool is that idea to come back in time an see what you were wearing 1 year ago? You want to know something funny? I keep a nail diary since January 2010, it' a pocket size paper block were I write the date, the brand and the name of the polish... what do I do that for??? gosh I'm really a fanatic, lol!

      Oh thank you Nati!!! I am soooo happy you appreciate my idea of visiting stuff I wore a year ago!!! I had this idea as well during our Vintage Challenge week - too often we neglect what we loved such a short while ago I find. LOL - I guess we are two frantics - I keep that diary too, now I think this shows how super organized we are!!! Horray to well trained PA's!!!! Bisousbisousbisous

      Hehehehe - you certainly do!!! And I so see where you are coming from. I deny myself also the one or the other brand (shutting my eyes very, very tight when coming across a photo of one of them)too in order to stick with A England and the Culties - LOL!!       That's an excellent idea love!! Except I haven't got the slightest idea what I wore a year ago... Lol! I don't do notes like u and Nati. I wish I had now :/ Maybe we can show what we showed on the blog a year ago at the same dates? But with new pics and new reviews? Or some other twist to it? What do you think? Just an idea :) Puss puss!! xxx
