Saturday Skittelette: Would Pucci approve those colors?

I finally dipped my nails again into striping - I still shy away a bit because I mess up plenty of those striping manis but for this one, I just could not resist:

The ingredients:

From left:
Picture Polish Violet Femme, Chick Polish Baby Cakes, Picture Polish Atomic, Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu

Recipe:
Pinkie, index and thumb: two coats of Picture Polish Violet Femme
Ring and middle: one coat of Atomic as base color, two coats of Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu and three coats of Chick Polish Baby Cakes

Admittedly, I really like the color combination - I thought Pucci would have thrown those colors together to create one of his marvellous dresses or tunics - no? The only tricky part was that Baby Cakes required three coats versus the two coats of the Elevation Polish - I pulled away the striping tape after two coats and dabbed on the third coat after removal.

What do you think of my Skittelette?

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

    1. Hi cupcake - awwwww thank you!!!! I am SOOOOO happy that you like it!! Do you know the feeling when you are so "entranced" by an idea that only after you posted it you start to have second thoughts if it is as good as you imagined it? Well this was one of those cases, so your comment means tons to me!!! A dress in these colors would be cool, wouldn't it? Signore Pucci would have mastered it to perfection, I am sure!!! Puss and cuddles to you and Smilla - I hope you are snugled up nicely on your sofa!!! xxx

    1. Hi Yun - thank you so much!!! I agree, this time round I was managing the striping well - I sometimes either tear the stripe of to steep or not straight and there goes the straight line... <3
