Tuning week with Zoya: Petra

Petra is from the Zoya Smoke Collection for Fall/Winter 2011. While bold and clear colors are usually my first choice, I have a serious addiction to dark and murky purples. Zoya Petra has in my opinion all a murky purple needs: it looks dark enough to be classy and elegant yet the dustiness makes it so special.

I applied two coats of Zoya Petra over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The formula is on the thin side, I therefore applied a thin first coat and a bit a thicker second coat. Petra is another Zoya polish that dries to high shine, I therefore skipped the Top Coat.

To tune-up this mani I dabbed Hits Tokuio from their World Glitter Series on my nails

Hits Tokuio is VERY glitter dense and the pay-off with dabbing is incredible.

How would you vamp-up a vampy polish?

I order my Zoya polishes with Nailcare Club and as of last week European fans of Zoya can also order these gems with Pshiiit Boutique .

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  4. Petra is amazing and suits your skin perfectly!! Love the combinations with Tokio! I use to add glitter at the tips, I think is very hard to remove the excess if I do close to the cuticles!! Beijos

    1. Hi sis, thank you so much!!! Tokio is one of my favorites as it is sooo versatile. But any of this series is a stunner so I find it unfair to name a favorite. I use those small eye shadow applicators from Essence and can dab the glitter exactly where I want it - I will get some for you :-) Küsschen
