Ellen Gold Agua Marinha

In the epic nail mail I got from my Brazilian sister in polish I also received some Ellen Gold polishes containing a gazillion of holographic particles. The bottle looks like a lovely shade of blue mixed with China Glaze Fairy Dust:



These are two coats of Ellen Gold Agua Marinha over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. On its own it has a rather gritty finish but one generous coat of top coat suffices to smooth things out. I finished the look with Ciate Speed Coat. Side note on Ciate Speed Coat: this is really a fast drying top coat that hardens the mani nearly as quickly as Essie Good to Go. However I am not overly pleased with its wearability and while it does not chip or dent it turns sort of dull after one day of wear. So if you change your mani daily this certainly does not matter but if it has to go a couple of miles I always go for either Essie Good to Go or Butter London Hardwear.

Isn't this a lovely shade of blue? I think this is as appropriate in winter as in any other Season - your thoughts?

    OMG! This is so pretty!!! I love it!!! The blue shade is stunning and then holo on top of that!!! Having a nailgasm here ;) LOL! :D

    Christine, this is maravilhoso!!! the shade of blue is so rare, I don't think I could quite name a close shade in the big brands, and I certainly don't own any similar in my poor blue collection! It's so great to know polishes like this do exist! Thanks!
