Valentine not so Valentine week: Glam Polish Coven and Glam Polish Book of Shadows

Hey, this is a new to me brand - YAYYYY! By now I have seen plenty of posts of Glam Polish and frankly more than one on Coven and Book of Shadows. So no, my post is not unique out there but since this is a new to me brand, I am very exited to sing a little song of praise here too.

I will say a thing or two about the formula at the end of this post as they are nearly identical. My Valentine's choice would be Glam Polish Coven - a red jelly glitter bomb, filled with tiny rainbow holo particles and bigger red glitter.

Glam Polish Book of Shadows is Coven's blue cousin - a blue jelly base filled with rainbow holo particles and blue glitter (though to me they seem of smaller size than in Coven).

I applied two coats of both, Coven and Book of Shadows over my regular Base Coat. Formula and consistency wise they are both equal jelly perfection. Dry time is a tad longer with Book of Shadows. And while with Coven the red glitter really pops out Book of Shadows shows the scattered rainbow holo particles stronger. Both dry gritty and I had to apply two thicker coats of Glitter Gal Gloss boss to achieve a smooth surface of my nails.

Final thoughts: truth being told, they are maybe more christmasy than Valentine's Day choices but I definitely find Coven a perfect choice for those who want to wear a red glitter for Valentine's Day. Book of Shadow would be my not so Valentine pick.

I ordered those Glam Polishes with Overall Beauty.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for dropping by!!!

  2. That blue polish looks really cool with the small glitter and large glitter almost lurking in the background but still being possible :P

    1. I so hoped you would like The Book of Shadows!!!! Nell and I are really well. Nell was a bit sulky due to rainy weather and was working my b*** off with all craziness breaking loose around me over the last two weeks - le sigh…. as it seems per today at this hour, I should be safe for a week before I have to gear up again. How did you get over Valentine's Day? I bet you had such a very busy day, but there are some very lucky ladies in your area who now have a beautiful bouquet done by YOU at their place!!!! Viele Küsschen xxx

  4. So fun to see these on you! They are quite festive (especially Coven) but just this side of being overtly so, I feel. The green one might push that line but the red...maybe I'm biased to the color, lol. You've captured both of these beautifully and I'm stoked that you finally got to try this brand!
