Teal Please!!! Sadok Pi

Just right before Christmas I received a MAJOR nail mail from my one of a kind Brazilian sister in polish Pri! Pri, if you read this I cannot tell you how much I loved each and every item you packed - you absolutely outdid yourself and I am facing now daily tortures as to what polish I should wear. So it is about time to bring one of those beauties center stage. Todays teal polish is from Sadok - a brand unknown to me to the day - and I love the simple name Pi (thank you for a singular word and a single syllable on top of it).

Sadok Pi is a teal jelly filled with brighter teal and turquoise and even silver glass flecks.

the above pictures are taken indoors in day and artificial light, the below photo outside in the shade

isn't this a gorgeous number out in the sun?

Sadok Pi applies sheer though even (it is a jelly after all) but builds to a nice opacity. The above pictures show three coats. The brush has a nice length and width - this makes painting just SOOOO easy and controllable. But oh boy, this baby takes ages to dry - I did a careful test after 20 or so minutes and found it still five past fluid. The time it takes to dry though is worth the result - no? When removing it is a good idea to have a thorough handwash with soap right afterwards as Pi stains. After washing my hands my nails were absolutely clean!

Final thoughts: what a gorgeous, bold, vivid polish that Sadok Pi is - certainly no option for a wallflower mood day. I just love such sparkiliciousness for winter - simply purrrrrfect ;-) - thank you Pri for sending this gem my way *hugs*!!!!!!

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. THIS is BEAUTIFUL. Zoya Charla is one of my all time faves and this is so reminiscent of that. That pesky dry time seems to be a jelly polish affliction-- always worth being patient, though. Happy Caturday, sis ♥♥

    1. Thank you sis xxx!!! And famous Charla is one of those missing in my collection - gahhh - oh well, it doesn't hurt to have some empty spots, no? I agree, with those beauties it is worth taking the time to let them dry properly. They are just too beautiful!!! Happy Sunday and cuddles to Baby Beau <3

    1. Salut Nati - thank you ma belle!!! I am always a bit on the fence showing exotics that might be hard or close to impossible to get here. But then their beauty is too extraordinaire to not give them some stage time. Oh this sounds lovely - I was at a BD bash yesterday of a very dear friend - it was a lovely evening spent with many friends and all sorts of Fondue: Cheese, Chinoise and as dessert: Fondue au Chocolat - yummie!!! I hope you enjoy a lovely Sunday - Bisous ma biche xxx

  5. Oh, I love this! I've experienced longer drying times with Brazilian brands too but I forgive them as their beauty outstands the downsides of them :)

    1. Thank you Ina - and thank you for your input, I already started to consider different base coats, I was considering this as a possible source of the slower dry time. What I do like though, once dry they are dry solid. I never experienced dents after an hour or so as I annoyingly discovered with some others… <3

    1. Yay - hello sis!!!! I don't only like it - I LOOOOVE it <3!!!!!! As for the drying time: this seems to come with the beautiful jellies - and mind you, painting nails should be something for a leisure moment that you enjoy, so a decent waiting time should go with this automatically, no???? And the great thing was: once dry, it was thoroughly dry, not like those deceptive polishes that are dry to the touch and soft like warm butter underneath - viele Küsschen xxx
