Crows Toes Last Rat Standing

The other day, I was left with forty minutes to leave home, still sporting bare nails - argh!!! Rumaging frantically through my "soon to be worn polishes" I was looking for an easy to apply and quick drying beauty. Crows Toes Last Rat Standing was standing there already a couple of weeks and relying on the fantastic performance of all my other Crows choice was already taken.

Last Rat Standing is such an intriguing and hard to define polish. It is brown and taupe with a grey tinge and is packed silver shimmer and turquoise and magenta micro glitter. Mind you it hides its complexity well as it looks quite unsuspicious in the bottle. But when ordering I relied on the exited reviews I read on a couple of Blogs.

I applied three thin coats of Crows Toes Last Rat Standing over Essence Hardening Nail Base. As I came to expect from Crows Toes, it applied quite sheer upon the first coat but built to a nice and even opacity with the second and third coat. Last Rat Standing dries quickly to a satin smooth finish. I sealed the mani with one layer of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Final thoughts: It is true, I love my boldies and holos and glitter but I start to develop a serious crush on those complex in-between colors that are so hard to pin down.  Oh I am in love with Last Rat Standing - swoon……..

I ordered Crows Toes Last Rat Standing with Llarowe.

I look forward to read your comments - thanks for passing by!!!
Christine

  1. How gorgeous is that! It's one of those chameleons that changes color based on the lighting. Last Rat Standing, though? Wonder what the story is behind that name because it's definitely.... interesting... :)

  4. What a beautiful polish. I reminds me of one that I just picked up from Marc Jacobs - it's called Petra. I just love this look and it looks great on you.
