Lime Crime - Lavendairy

On to the second of my Lime Crime polishes. This is a pale yet sort of vibrant lilac. I am not really into pastels - while I like them on others and in the bottle I don't particularly like to see my own nails "pastellized". Many of them look chalky and thick on me. But I could not resist getting Lime Crime Lavendairy. With Lime Crime Milky Ways I experienced some difficulties during application but Lavendairy went on much easier. Probably because I started out with 2 Coats of Essie Fill the Gap from start but the formula is a lot easier to apply.

This is 2 coats:

This would be a beautiful base colour for stamping and I have seen some very pretty nail art with it. But I am rubbish with nail art. Layering is as far as I get. Hence my ever growing staple of glitters and effect top coats. This time round I went for Dollish Polish Looking for my Mr. Big. This is a soft, sheer lavender with subtle holographic effect. I added 1 coat of it over Lime Crime Lavendairy:

Very delicate and subtle - do you agree? I can still wear this to the office and at the same time it has this nice little extra to it. OK autumn might be the wrong time to start wearing pastels but I think Lavendairy is a year-around color and looks pretty and girly on any day.

I purchased Lime Crime Lavendairy through Harlow & Co and Dollish Polish Looking for my Mr. Big through Llarowe. These two e-tailers became my favourite polish hunting grounds easily with their excellent choice of brands and their great customer service.

What are your thoughts of this? Do you fancy pastel colours? Would you wear them year around or only during spring/summer? I am looking forward to reading your thoughts in the comments!!

Thank you for reading!
Christine
