Today we have green for you - in reference to green Wednesday. There was only ONE polish I could possibly choose - this being BB Couture African Queen from the Girls on Tape Collection of Spring 2012:
The above picture is taken in artificial light, the below photo outdoors in the shade
I applied three coats of BB Couture African Queen over A England The Knight Base Coat. The first coat went on sheer but is easily buildable. It might be a good advice though to not go over the same area twice as you might experience polish dragging and ending up with quite unattractive bald spots. Dry time is normal and dries - as is normal with BB Couture - somewhat gritty due to the shimmer flecks in the polish.
I order my BB Couture Polishes with their own website
here.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine
Salut Christine! What a great shade of green! I don't think I own anything like it, really a perfect refreshing choice for the warm days we're living! bisous, xxx
ReplyDeleteSalut Nati, merci mille fois :-)!!! It is actually quite unique and I have not come accross anything similar and yes, perfect for our beautiful week of summer :-D Bisous xxx
DeleteWhat a great shade of green! I do not know this brand (the second of the day), unfortunately, and I really like how it is combined with your skin tone.
ReplyDeleteThank you Francine, how exititing - I always enjoy when I can introduce unknown brands :-). In case you would like to see more of this Brand Kelly from Kelly Gonzo has shown a lot from them!
DeleteThis shade is really intresting, looks very well on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by and your lovely comment :-)
DeleteBeautiful, sis! I've been so loving jade cremes and this one's lovely and unique due to that shimmer. The African Queen is one of C's favorite movies, too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Liesl <3!!! I hoped you would like African Queen and I find it worth the name - I love that movie too - it's epic!!! Have a wonderful day xxx
DeleteI love, love, love green and I love this polish!
ReplyDeleteHi Essie - I should have called this post "Essie's choice" since I was thinking of you when I prepared it ;-)
DeleteThis is a great green! :) I don't have anything by this brand, but I've wondered how the formula was. I love the shimmer!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa xxx!!! When I got my first BB Couture I was really floored by their formula (this goes for most of the polishes I own from them). Even back as a nailpaint rookie it was easily managable -and they don't do fancy brushes or what have you - once more proof that it's the sauce that matters ;-)!!! The only thing that I really really find important to mention that their shimmer or fleck polishes REALLY dry gritty and many of them require a second layer of Top Coat
DeleteI had a hard time on the greens too so I skipped this one, but I will be back tomorrow and the rest of the week. You just gotta love a nice grass green but I think the shimmer in this one makes it extra nice. I don't have anything by this brand either; I should check them out. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, aww no problem AT ALL!!! I am very much looking forward to your tomorrow's post<3!!! Thank you for your lovely comment, I bought this as one of my first greens and was so happy with it that I did not get many more greens for quite a while - I would love to vear what you think of the brand should you get around to check it out :-)
DeleteWhat a beautiful shade of green !!
ReplyDelete<3 - thank you dear Vicky xxx
DeleteHi pet! Now this is what I call a stunning green! Wow! And it looks so great on you!! You sure are the African Queen! ;) lol! Was this the one you showed me a water bowl picture of...? Have a wonderful day and give Nell a looooong cuddle from me! Viele Küsschen!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you love<3!!! Haha I would be one queen on that boat, I tell ya ;-). No I showed you, what was it.... Color Club Wild Cactus, a plain cream. This has this glassflecks in it that make it GRITTY GRITTY - when I wear it for more than one day, I apply a second layer of Top Coat as it eats silently away during the day ;-) - Nell sends you his purrs - he enjoyed ;-) - and if Smilla EVER get's away from your BF's lap - give her a scratch under the chin ;-) - LOL Viele Küsschen xxx
