Vintage Challenge - Glitter: RBL Locavore

Jezz and I decided to show Glitter on our 4th day of the Vintage Challenge - you have a vintage glitter and more you would like to show us? Just add the links to your posts in the gadget below. For more information on the Vintage Challenge click here.

Once more the polish I want to show you today for covering out Glitter theme was a no-brainer. This is RBL Locavore - sold out since a while though, and no plans for restock I am utterly sorry - this information is wrong - Locavore is still available on the Rescue Beauty Loung website - thank you Kelly. Locavore was launched for Spring/Summer 2009.  RBL Locavore was my first ever glitter and also for a long time my only one. Locavore is also my Christmas Eve polish - I wear it every year for the gourmet dinner we go to (and will continue to go to on my own).

Locavore is a small sized, dense glitter with predominantly pale yellow gold and green glitter interspersed with fuchsia and turquoise glitters.

The two pictures above are taken indoors in daylight, the photo below outdoors in the shade

I applied two coats of RBL Locavore over A England The Knight Base Coat. The formula is fantastic, the application a dream, dry time very fast.

Do you have a gem stored in your treasure trove that is no longer available?

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  1. Salut Christine! You brought a dazzling beauty!! (as usual should I said)
This is so gorgeous, how come I didn't know it existed. I don't own any polish by this brand, but I know the existence of many "epic" shades from RBL. I'm so glad you showed us even if it's discontinued, because this prettiness needs to be shown.
I have many discontinued polishes, specially those which where part of LE.
    I'm loving this challenge! xxx

    1. Hi Nati, thank you so much <3 <3 <3!!! The good news it is not sold out - the bad news, I did not do proper research before publishing - oh well... After having seen so many absolutely stunning gems that you draw out of your polish hat I have to admit, I would love to dive into your stash to ogle all those rarities ;-)!!! I am so happy you like the Challenge - I do too!!!

  3. Nice selection! It's actually available on the RBL website. I was looking through her site last night and it's up there and listed as in stock. ;) I also love that RBL is cruelty free.

  4. A true glitter bomb! :D I *love* the fact that it's your Christmas Eve polish...I LOVE Christmas traditions, so why not have a traditional polish? :) I will certainly have to do that! I wore Zoya Ivanka last Christmas, so maybe I'll wear it again this year. :D

  6. Hello, sunshine! It's very shining! I don't like too muchglitter; I like it over other's people nails, not over mine! It reminds me the sand. I'm pretty weird, I know. ;)

    1. Ciao bella, after reading your awesome post about China Glaze Atlantis I know - how great that you posted anyway - I am feeling very honored :-)!!! It took me quite a while to like glitters on myself. Worse, in the beginning I bought glitters and just loved to see them in the bottle - Locavore actually was the first that was rescued from a life in the bottle - LOL
