Vintage Challenge - Holo: Nfu Oh 61

Of course we had to keep up Holo Friday also for our Vintage Challenge. You are welcome to step in any day to our Challenge. Just add the links to your posts in the gadget below. For more information on the Vintage Challenge click here.

I always considered Nfu Oh the mother of holo polish - now what else could I possibly pick for Holo Friday than my only Nfu Oh holo - this being 61:

The above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo - well, guess.... YUP in the sun

I ONLY use Aqua Base Coats for holo polishes - so this explains the effortless two coats of Nfu 61 for my swatches. No Top Coat. I opened my bottle of Nfu Oh Aqua Base Coat for this Holo Friday and this is, hands down, the best Aqua Base Coat I have tried so far. The formula of Nfu 61 is smooth and spreads nicely on the nail. However - this is not feasible when applied over a normal Base Coat.

I could have added a dozen more pictures but none was so perfectly holo as this last photo I took in the sun. But I also like the silver look Nfu 61 shows when looked at indoors or in the shade, displaying only a soft holo effect. It does not look as dull and flat as some other holos I own. It rather radiates a mother-of-pearl feel - if you know what I mean...

Have you tried Nfu Oh holos?

I ordered Nfu 61 with Pshiiit Boutique.

I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

    1. Hi Gelic - thank you :-)!!!! The last photo is indeed a great shot - and it was easy to limit - the other pictures were RUBBISH!!! I took the pictures with my iPhone and out in the sun I had no view of the screen, i.e. no idea if any of those pictures are clear :-S.

  2. That's really the perfect silver holo! I don't own any Nfu Oh holos (yet?), as I don't have any aqua base coat, and I've read they're a pain to apply without it. Maybe I should change that...?

    1. I have more than one Aqua Base and after trying I have to say the Nfu Oh Aqua Base is the best out there. Nfu 61 applied like a regular polish with it!!! And maybe I am just a clutz but all the other suggestions of bloggers for other products than Aqua Base does not work for me. While a little bit easier, certainly not "painless". I think the investment is worth it ;-)

  6. This is a fantastic holo! The only reason I haven't hunted it down is because silver does not look good on my nails. I just got the Nfu-Oh Aqua Base and used it immediately; you are so right! It is amazing! Never will I be without it again... ;)
