I was over the moon when I received MeiMei Signatues Newsletter announcing the launch of Emily de Mollys in her shop - finally another chance to get hold of some lemmings of mine (YESSS I succeeded). The one I wore first Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces:
Cosmic Forces is a sheer purple jelly loaded with round glitter. If worn on its own it would certainly require three coats at least to achieve decent opacity. I wanted to keep the translucent feel of Cosmic Forces therefore I started out with one coat of Picture Polish Violet Femme, a very bright purple jelly and added one coat of Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces. Most of the glitters literally jumped on to my nails - only the saucer sized glitters were reluctant to leave their crib and had to be fished out. Despite the amount of glitter in this polish it dried nearly smooth and I could finish my mani with no more than one coat of Butter London Hardwear Top Coat. The removal required some elbow grease though.
I am a BIG fan of anything from A England and of course I could not pass Excalibur (revamped):
I applied two buttery, velvety coats of Excalibur (revamped) over Zoya Anchor Base Coat. I used Butter London Hardwear Top Coat. I spare you more text and rather add some more pictures as they say ALL about the beauty of the new Excalibur:
the above picture is taken indoors in daylight, the below photo in artificial light
This post ended up being so long, that I split it into two parts.
I ordered Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces with MeiMei Signatures and A England Excalibur (revamped) with Llarowe.
Now on to part two....
I
WOWZA !! Cosmic Force is quite pretty on ya :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Vicky - I am so happy I got that one :-D
DeleteI love Cosmic Forces so much! And I'm so happy I could get my hands on Oceanic Forces, too. Same thing but teal! Heaven!
ReplyDeleteGuess what - I know ;-) - I was lucky enough to get both - Oceanic AND Cosmic. I wonder - did you get Dark Forces? I sort of stopped at 2 siblings
DeleteI haven't had the chance to get Dark Forces yet, cart jacked or already sold out. But I won't give up trying to get this one, too ;-)
DeleteCosmic Forces is so beautiful! I can see why it's always sold out...I'm glad you were able to snag one! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa <3!!! I wouldn't have been able if it would not have been for Mei Mei's launch :-D
DeleteCosmic Forces has got to be one of the coolest looking polishes this year has produced and it looks amazing on you, as does Excalibur. I'm totally brand crushing on a-England right now and the wear time of Excalibur has quickly made it a go-to for me.
ReplyDeleteHi sis - thank you <3!!!! Cosmic Forces is certainly one of THE polishes released that year - but oh my, me as true addict I have to admit that this particular space is quite crowded. And so glad you joined A England crush - they are totally outstanding :-) xxx
DeleteWow Cosmic Force is just amazing! Those round glitters look fantastic peeking out from the purple jelly! :D
ReplyDelete~ Yun
Hi Yun, the saucer sized glitters are amazeballs - and it wasn't until I saw the final result that I understood what all the hype was all about - really, really stunning
DeleteCosmic Forces is one of my lemmings too!! I'll have to try to get it from MeiMeiSignatures :D
ReplyDeleteWelcome back from your vacation!!! You certainly had a wonderful time :-D!!!! To snatch Cosmic Forces was a real lucky strike ;-)
