the above pictures are taken indoors in day and artificial light, the below photos outside in the shade

and lastly a couple of under water photos
Have you yet recovered from the awesomeness of all those pictures? Then let's move on to the paint job details: I applied three thin coats of ILNP Nostalgia over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The formula is thin and sheer but nevertheless easy to apply. The first coat went on streaky, the second coat provided near even opacity. I added an intermediate layer of Top Coat to achieve a totally smooth surface for the third coat. I find this reduces the tendency to end up with brushstrokes. While you see some of them in my pictures, it didn't show IRL.
Final thoughts: What can I say? I am impressed and smitten by the myriad of colors that plays in Nostalgia.
I ordered ILNP Nostalgia with their own website here. International shipping is available at reasonable rates and shipping time is pretty quick (we talk USA to Switzerland here).
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for stopping by!!!

Hi pet! I love the color shifts on this one! Amazing! I adore your under water pics hon! And that you keep them big :D Hope you've had a great x-mas!! Viele Küsschen!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you doll <3! I kept them big despite my annoyance that my Blog Template didn't fit anymore. Now - some hours and hair tearing later, it seems as if my x-large pics and my gadgets can peacefully exist next to each other - LOL!! My X-mas was gorgeous, delicious, fun - and yours? Puss, puss xxx
DeleteAwesome!!
ReplyDeleteThank you hon xxx
DeleteSalut Christine, Happy Holidays! this is such and awesome colour, so complex and fascinating. I hope you had a peaceful Christmas, mine was pretty nice, my baby took care of filling with joy those awkward moments when Nostalgia came in. Honestly, he saved the day.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I know what you mean about limiting yourself to few brands... that's the main reason why I have not buy indie polishes yet, I have the feeling once I'll cross that border I'll start compulsively buying! hahaha
loads of love and kisses xxx
Ma chère Nati, joyeux noël à toi, quand-même tellement tard :-S! My Christmas was fun, joyous with lots of people, we laughed a lot and had a wonderful time. On Christmas Eve I went for a dinner with some close friends - we were one long table of 16 festively decorated. Can you imagine how much fun that was? Of course I missed Mark, but to be honest there are every day moments that are far more hurting and painful than this Holiday. And I firmly believe that now I need to lay the path for future happy Holidays and being moody and depressed will press a stamp forever that will be hard to overcome. Now my memories of my first Christmas without Mark is filled with laughter, joy and wonderful company. I am sure your little one is such a great source of joy and strength! And how great - I can be your Indie provider sending you the one or the other little gem once in a while ;-) - you are in my thoughts as one of the most wonderful people I met this year - thank you for being such a wonderful Blogger - friend (and hopefully IRL friend as of sometime next year) - Je t'embrace - gros bisous xxx
DeleteYou're the real marvel, Christine, your strength is inspiring! I love the way you take life, what you've written is exactly how I'd like to be, but I'm not... I admire you, and I'm sure it'll make me a great deal of good to meet you personally :)
Delete...thus furthering my desire to get my hands on these wildly beautiful duochromes... You captured each remarkable facet beautifully ♥♥
ReplyDeletethis really is an outstanding number. But to be honest, there are currently only so many colors to mix out there and I already own dupes. This well is dried out for now in my lemming area but who ogles for more with beauties like the above???? And our dreary and overcast weather helped remarkably in catching all those facets, there is a bright side to everything, no (the all-time optimist talks here) Thank you sis xxx
