And while sadly this is no weather to sport any holos it definitely is the favorite light for any duo or multi chrome nail polish. Today I have another gorgeous polish from Little Miss Nailpolish's Christmas Treasure Box: H&M Wintersky! Instead of trying to label all the colors held in this gem I would rather describe it as Mother of Pearl for your nails! It says it all - wanna check?
the above pictures are taken indoors in day and artificial light, the below photos outside in overcast weather

I applied two coats of H&M Wintersky over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The formula is surprisingly pigmented and creamy to apply (read easy), however, I need to raise a flag to brush stroke alert! Painting your nails with featherlike strokes and in thin layers certainly minimizes the brush strokes. I achieved the best results though sandwiching a layer of Top Coat in between the duo chrome polish. It will provide you with a smooth and even surface of the nail and you will see, the polish glides on effortlessly and free of brush strokes!
Final thoughts: Jezz, I cannot thank you enough to have sent me this snow queen for Christmas - it is incredibly delicate, soft, elegant and multi faceted! H&M Wintersky is a wonderfully wearable polish, it looks as appropriate in the office as it does on a night out.
Now I don't know about you but my local H&M does not carry those big nail polish bottles, not to mention never seems to hold more than your expected reds and pinks in their racks - in mini bottles!!!
Thank you for taking the time to drop by, I look forward to reading your comments!!!
Christine
I like the polish and the name (and the how the bottle says Nail Polish on it real big)

Happy holidays!!
I hope you had a Happy Holiday too - mine so far was, some more family related stuff today and then I am done and ready for recharging my batteries before going back to work in January! - thank you so much - I like the design of the big H&M bottles too - and of course this intricate polish!
DeleteHi pet! I love how Wintersky looks on you! I like it so much too! And I agree! It's great for both party and office! All depending on how you accessorize it ;) I got some new other H&M polish the other day! :D I like how they have developed their new lines the last couple of years! Will show you my new ones on wa soon! Viele Küsschen!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteHi doll - thank you, thank you, thank you for sending this gem my way!!! I am VERY curious to see your latest H&M's soon!! Sadly, I still haven't seen any bottles of this line in any H&M near and far my place…. viele Küsschen xxx
DeleteI remember when Jezz reviewed Wintersky! I thought it looked so space cadet-esque. :D It reminds me of Orly Angel Rain...very lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail on the head: space cadet, what a perfect description :-D. I don't own Orly Angel Rain, let me go and google it…. ;-) thank you dear Melissa xxx
DeleteThis influx of duochromes done right, and by companies across the board, makes me ridiculously happy, lol :D :D Wintersky is gorgeous, and gorgeous on you. It reminds me of one of my very favorite Nail Prisms (but yours has a much prettier and more romantic name, lol)-- Lapis Amethyst.
ReplyDeleteSigh, the Sally Hansens….. this brand would certainly take up a lot more space in my drawers if easily available here. But just recently I detected a small rack in a drug store just across the boarder in Germany. I hope in January I will have some time to get there during my lunch break…. Mind you, my local H&M's don't carry that line of polish either, I am totally dependent on swaps here - LOL! And the name is not only romantic but our sky here really has a tendency to grace us with many of the above shades during the winter months - you know those days when the clouds are thin though firmly cover the sky and the sun sends some diffuse light down to us Earthlings….
