The secret was lifted when I found out that the Friday 13 special named Lady of Raynham Hall, a pale grey cream base filled with gold and turquoise micro shimmer that is visible in ANY lighting and doesn't get swallowed by the base.
the pictures above are taken indoors in daylight, the photos below outside in the shade
and here in artificial light:
I applied three thin coats of Pahlish Lady of Raynham Hall over Essence Hardening Nail Base. The consistency is a tad sheer - well you do want to see that shimmer, don't you? About the formula I get repetitive here - it is just perfect - I save you from the always same adjectives but trust me, it is GOR-GE-OUS!!! Lady of Raynham dries quickly and dull and yes, a Top Coat is needed for a glossy finish.
Final thoughts: I just cannot resist a surprise polish and I was more than pleased in finding this pale grey in the bubble wrap - at first I was like - hmmmm what did I order HERE? But then I remembered Friday 13……… The nice aspect is that I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I would have seen the polish because I wear those lighter colors not as often as boldies and vamps.
Now about the Brown Lady of Raynham Hall - she is one of the most famous ghosts in Norfolk after photographer's of Country Life claimed to have taken her picture while doing a photo series in Raynham Hall. The photo is of 1936 and shows a translucent grey figure like thing in the middle of the picture. I find that Pahlish exactly met that grey translucent feel of the photograph.
Of course Lady of Raynham Hall is sold-out by now but Pahlish regularly offers surprise Limited Editions and Mystery Polishes, so if you like a surprise like me you certainly will enjoy ordering. Those are exclusively available on the Pahlish Bigcartel e-shop here.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!

Now, you can wear grey!! This is so cool and unusual! I already like it when somebody makes a grey polish and puts gold shimmer in it, but the turquoise is an added bonus. Great post! <3
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa - LOL, thank you dear <3!! I believe with the greys it is all about finding the right tint - a smidgen to the one or other decides over Zombie or piggy claws with me :-P!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Essie, aaaaah great minds think alike - thank you :-)!!! The nice thing with this one is, that despite the small sized shimmer particles, they never sink into invisibility!!! Have a wonderful Saturday with your family - *hugs*
