So no wonder that her Picture Polish Collaboration shade Lagoon was the first I had to try:
The above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the below photo outdoors in the sun
I applied three coats of Lagoon over Essence XXL Nail Thickener. The pigmentation is sheer and the formula perfect. It builds up to a perfect Lagoon of nail polish with scattered holo particles and turquoise glitters swimming in it. The color is in my eyes the epitome of turquoise - it is PERFECT!!! It will keep a certain translucent quality (OK you can also say VNL). It is insanely squishy - le sigh… And of course you can also stick with applying two coats only but I found the third coat applied so much more depth and saturation.
Yes, I am a Picture Polish Collaboration shades collector. And yes, I ordered those released previously this year as well - so what about a little comparison? I would call it the Oceanic Trilogy of the Picture Polish range.
From left: Picture Polish Sea Jewel, Picture Polish Lagoon, Picture Polish Ocean.
Pinkie and middle: three coats of Picture Polish Lagoon
Ring: three coats of Picture Polish Ocean
Index: two coats of Picture Polish Sea Jewel
Lagoon and Ocean look clearly related. Maybe like Lagoon being the color of the sea by the shore of a Lagoon and Ocean the color of the sea once a bit farther out. Sea Jewel is not resembling any of them but compliments the other two wonderfully. In short - a perfect trilogy.
I look forward to reading your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
