Cadillacquer Beyond The Walls

In the course of this winter I really, really started to appreciate brown and taupe nail polish! There I said it :-o!!! How come? I always felt intrigued by Taupe - but honestly, it is not the most flattering color for my skin. Fastforward to Cadillacquer Seek the Fire Collection for Spring 2014 and with it there comes Beyond the Walls a true, real taupe filled with turquoise iridescent shimmer.




I applied two coats of Cadillacquer Beyond The Walls over Essence Hardening Nail Base. I would call the formula a crelly with the pigmentation of a cream. The consistency is on the thinner side which translates into even spreading on the nails. The first coat went on sheer and the second coat truly completed the mani - it saturated the base color and provided densely spread shimmer over my nails. Dry time is normal and the finish is smooth though not super high shine.

Final thoughts: Later this week I need to appear super work appropriate - now guess which polish I will wear…….

    I am going through a taupe phase right now. I can't get enough of them. This is gorgeous too. Taupe and blue are a great color combo!

      Thank you so much Becca <3! I have to admit I feel quite drawn to them myself and I agree, I love those blues next to Taupe - an underestimated cool with a twist :-)

    I have acquired quite a love for taupe as well...but I think this looks great on you! Let's face it, everything looks good on you. ;)

      Awwww thank you Melissa, I blush furiously here!!! <3 I am quite drawn to taupes as of late, it gives me neutrals without looking boring next to my "not-so-pale-as-I-thought" skin tone ;-) and quite frankly the taupes on you are a class on their own, absolutely awesome xxx

    I think you look nice in taupe, it's a elegant color to wear! I also liked this one, the iridescent shimmer is subtle but still visible and just adds to the elegance! :D

      Oh thank you sweetie <3! I do really like the cool taupes and because of my job I every so often need one, I am pretty free to slap on my nails whatever I want but there are some exceptions sometimes....
