Depend No 2088

I am always a bit on the fence showing polishes that are not available outside a country on the other hand I want to show the beauties Jezz from Little Miss Nailpolish sent me for Christmas. But the two Depends she sent me have some relatives out there that are similar enough.

Depend 2088 is an orange infused pink that shifts to, well yes, orange with a golden shine. It reminds me of a beautiful Topaz….. and now, are you ready for a picture spam?

the above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, and the photos below outside in the shade

 in artificial light

and under water:

I applied two coats of Depend 2088 over Essence Hardening Nail Base. Now I never thought that I would say this about a duochrome polish, but this can actually be a one coater. The formula is highly pigmented and applies like a cream. And I barely had any issues with brushstrokes.

Final thoughts: I am floored again and again about those Depend polishes. And this glowing and gleaming pink is no exception. In case you look for a similar shade I would suggest that you check-out Ozotic 730 duochrome - if you want any Ozotics by the way, hurry up as Picture Polish announced that they would cease the production of Ozotics. I only checked Llarowe and while many shades are gone for good Ozotic 730 is still available as I type this. Jezz: Honestly, this is not a polish I would have picked for myself and also honestly: sometimes I really don't know what is good for me until someone like you comes along and forces me into it.

I look forward to reading your thoughts - thank you for commenting and dropping by!!!
Christine

  1. I love those underwater shots! This makes me want to break out my Sally Hansen Lustre Shine in Lava. It' s close enough to make me not get too sad about not finding yet another gorgeous polish in the US :)

    1. Hi Melissa, as always spot on - sunset on the nails!!! And that was needed during the days I wore this beauty, nothing but murky, dreary days filled with icy wind :-) Thank you dear xxx

  5. Amazingly gorgeous! Rare, discontinued, and otherwise htf polishes are always fun to look at because they're usually fairly unique and so quite intriguing. Sometimes I feel guilty showing off polishes not readily available but then I remember that I started blogging to show my stash, in part, and that includes gems not on like this one. I am glad to see that it looks similar to SH Lava... I've picked up and put down that one countless times but I think you've given me the final push to get it, already. Rockin' photos, sis <3

    1. Thank you sis - and of course you are right, htf's and discontinued numbers can be a great inspiration and we do not always need to be ad boards, right? And I started blogging for the same reason: to show my stash :-). As mentioned to Becca, I never mention SH because they are unavailable in Switzerland, but from what I saw over at yours and Melissa's they have a truly stunning range of colors and finishes!!!! Glad you like the pics - I will stick to x-large as of now :-) xxx
