Depend 2088 is an orange infused pink that shifts to, well yes, orange with a golden shine. It reminds me of a beautiful Topaz….. and now, are you ready for a picture spam?
the above pictures are taken indoors in daylight, and the photos below outside in the shade
in artificial light
and under water:
Final thoughts: I am floored again and again about those Depend polishes. And this glowing and gleaming pink is no exception. In case you look for a similar shade I would suggest that you check-out Ozotic 730 duochrome - if you want any Ozotics by the way, hurry up as Picture Polish announced that they would cease the production of Ozotics. I only checked Llarowe and while many shades are gone for good Ozotic 730 is still available as I type this. Jezz: Honestly, this is not a polish I would have picked for myself and also honestly: sometimes I really don't know what is good for me until someone like you comes along and forces me into it.
I look forward to reading your thoughts - thank you for commenting and dropping by!!!
Christine
I love those underwater shots! This makes me want to break out my Sally Hansen Lustre Shine in Lava. It' s close enough to make me not get too sad about not finding yet another gorgeous polish in the US :)
ReplyDeleteHi Becca, thank you for reminding me of Sally Hansen, I never mention this brand as it is unavailable in Switzerland! And thank you for your (as always) lovely comment, glad you like my picks xxx
DeleteAhhh, Becca is so right...this looks like Lustre Shine Lava! I probably like the orange and pink duochromes best of all because they look just like a sunset. <3
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, as always spot on - sunset on the nails!!! And that was needed during the days I wore this beauty, nothing but murky, dreary days filled with icy wind :-) Thank you dear xxx
DeleteHi pet! I'm so glad you like it even though you would never had picked it for yourself ;) It looks fantastic and so does your xl-pictures! :D I have another dupe actually! Well, I think because it has been laying untried in my Helmer for over a year… It's a Impala and it's called Sex Appeal. Google it and let me know your thoughts! ;) Viele Küsschen!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you doll, awww what a beautiful, beautiful polish that is!!! I am always glad to be moved out of my comfort zone especially with results like the above!!! You are right, Impala has some gorgeous duo chromes and I checked your untried and you are right, they rightly can be called dupes!!! - Puss, puss xxx
DeleteGooooorgeous! ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie xxx
DeleteOoh, I should pick this one up!! Look gorgeous on you hon!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Ina - you should, I am sure it will look stunning on you. I got some more stunning duo chromes from Depend, that whole Chameleon Collection is just IMPRESSIVE xxx
DeleteAmazingly gorgeous! Rare, discontinued, and otherwise htf polishes are always fun to look at because they're usually fairly unique and so quite intriguing. Sometimes I feel guilty showing off polishes not readily available but then I remember that I started blogging to show my stash, in part, and that includes gems not on like this one. I am glad to see that it looks similar to SH Lava... I've picked up and put down that one countless times but I think you've given me the final push to get it, already. Rockin' photos, sis <3
ReplyDeleteThank you sis - and of course you are right, htf's and discontinued numbers can be a great inspiration and we do not always need to be ad boards, right? And I started blogging for the same reason: to show my stash :-). As mentioned to Becca, I never mention SH because they are unavailable in Switzerland, but from what I saw over at yours and Melissa's they have a truly stunning range of colors and finishes!!!! Glad you like the pics - I will stick to x-large as of now :-) xxx
DeleteSalut ma belle! This is such a gorgeous shade, I agree with Melissa it does look like a sunset, truly lovely. Jezz did a wonderful job picking it for you, as usual!
ReplyDeleteGros bisous ma biche, xxx
Salut Nati, merci mille fois, Melissa is one of a kind, always picking THE words to describe a polish accurately, and yes, Jezz spoiled me totally rotten :-) - have a wonderful day - bisous xxx
DeleteWow Christine, this is absolutely stunning! These pink/orange duochromes are my favorite color combination. I love how strong the shift is... totally amazing! :D
