Vintage Challenge - Blue: Barielle Falling Stars

WELCOME to the Vintage Challenge Week of Jezz from Little Miss Nailpolish!!! We are so exited to kick off our first joint Challenge and had a lot of fun in exchanging ideas and opinions!!! Jezz has become such a dear and close Blogger friend and I want to thank her for all her patience she showed in teaching and guiding me through the set-up of this challenge. In case I should insert a non-working link or have any other bugs, please tell me and bear with me as I am the rookiest of the rookies in this. Most delightedly we even have some more Bloggers joining and I for my part am most curious to find out what they hide in their treasure troves!!! You want to join us? Just add the links to your posts in the gadget below. For more information on the Vintage Challenge click here.

So we start the week with Blue - to keep up with the blue Monday. I own quite a number of blues - older and newer releases but this was a no-brainer: I wanted to show you Barielle Falling Stars from the All Lacquered Up Collection released in 2009. Falling Stars was my first ever lemming (many were and will be following). Hunting down Falling Stars helped me also to widen my knowledge about hit and fail online offers until I finally could call it MINE!!!

The above two pictures are taken indoors in daylight, the photo below in artificial light

Falling Stars is a crelly and definitely needs two coats to reach opacity. I had no issues with the application. The polish would exactly go and stay where I wanted it to be and dried at normal time. The many copper glitters make this one bumpy polish once dry, I applied two coats of A England The Shield to smooth out the surface.

Do you remember your first ever Lemming?

I look forward to read your comments - thanks for visiting!!!
Christine

  5. Salut Christine, What a gem to open the Challenge! So this is certainly a "Christine-type-polish" so amazing in every aspect!
My first lemming ever? well, only Chanel Jade, the one that sold out in one week and never came back. But there's no way I'm paying what they ask for it on e-bay... I think it's even romantic to think of it as "my impossible love". So Jade and me have a very "platonic" relationship. LOL!
I'm so very glad to have joined you in this challenge, I'm having loads of fun!

    1. Salut Nati - awww you are too sweet, I am so glad I picked an appropriate polish to open the challenge on my end (your choice is drop dead gorgeous too)!!! Ah Chanel Jade - guess what I've been there too and I am so with you - no way I would pay any money beyond the price tag in a store!!! I love your reference to your ongoing "impossible love" with Jade :-D!! I am so happy you joined - it was also for me great fun to assemble the polishes for this week and go digging in my polish-cave - Bisous xxx

  8. Pretty, pretty! How exciting it is to find your first lemming and to have it in your hot little hands :D My first was Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Burgundy Orchid. I remember feeling so bummed when I learned the line had long since been discontinued and how stoked I was to finally have that beauty on my nails. Anyhoo, this truly is gorgeous, and so you... I just love copper flecks in polish :) Congrats on pulling off a great challenge! If my plate wasn't so full at the moment I'd most certainly join in but I'll definitely be enjoying ogling your offerings :)♥

I am so proud you like our Challenge - and rest assured - and this will certainly not be the last Challenge we/I pull off. I hope you will like the reminder of the week as well - huuuuugs

    1. Hi Essie - LOL - I love the "holy cow" expression :-). Of course Peridot - I also remember that post of yours ;-). Peridot-polishes certainly look gorgeous on you, sigh - just feeling an itch of a nailpolish regret that I cannot carry any Peridot like colors off - EVER ;-)
